When linking bank accounts in IMPROVE Money, your credentials are encrypted directly by Plaid Inc. Our edge gateway executes Plaid API actions in-memory with zero persistence: no databases, no caching, and no logs of your bank balances, transactions, or account numbers.

Never. When you connect a bank, you authenticate directly inside Plaid's encrypted dialog. IMPROVE never sees, transmits, or possesses your bank credentials.
Where are my transactions and bank balances stored?
Only on your personal device and inside your private Apple iCloud account. Our Supabase edge function proxy is 100% stateless: it holds zero database tables, zero user rows, and zero cached transactions.
Can IMPROVE move my money or initiate transfers?
No. IMPROVE Money requests read-only transactions access. It is technically impossible for the application to initiate wires, transfers, or withdrawals.
How do I permanently disconnect my bank and delete my data?
Go to Settings > Connected Institutions > Unlink & Delete Data. Our gateway immediately calls Plaid's /item/remove to permanently destroy your access token, and all local transaction history is purged immediately.
Because IMPROVE Money stores zero user records on central servers, you possess absolute deletion authority. Tapping “Clear App Data” in Settings immediately wipes local SwiftData stores and purges any connected tokens.
